On Sunday, August 25, 2024, Houston’s Jewish community gathered at United Orthodox Synagogues to honor the legacy of Robert M. Beren (z”l) and David Mitzner (z”l). Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander, President and Rosh HaYeshiva (Dean) of the Ohr Torah Stone network in Israel, delivered a thoughtful Legacy Address highlighting their significant impacts especially on modern orthodoxy. Marking Mr. Beren's first Yahrzeit, the event concluded with a community brunch celebrating the lasting influence of both men.
