RMBA is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching mathematics to middle school students, helping them build foundational math skills while fostering a love for problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. As a Math Teacher, you will create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment, encouraging students to understand mathematical concepts, apply them in real-world contexts, and develop the confidence to succeed in future academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Design & Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate math lessons aligned with state standards or school-specific curricula. Teach core middle school math topics, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, fractions, decimals, ratios, and basic data analysis.
• Differentiated Instruction: Tailor lessons and teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Provide individualized support and enrichment opportunities for students at various proficiency levels.
• Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, quizzes, homework, and projects. Provide timely, constructive feedback to help students understand areas for improvement and celebrate their successes.
• Classroom Management: Foster a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Promote a growth mindset and encourage perseverance in tackling challenging problems.
• Encourage Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Create opportunities for students to develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning through real-world applications, projects, and collaborative group work.
• Parental Communication: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, upcoming assignments, and any concerns regarding academic performance or behavior. Host parent-teacher conferences as needed.
• Collaboration with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers, particularly those in related subjects (e.g., science, computer science), to integrate cross-curricular projects and enhance student learning.
• Technology Integration: Incorporate technology into lessons and assignments (e.g., interactive software, online math tools, educational apps) to support learning and engage students in innovative ways.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math education, technology in the classroom, and curriculum updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).
• Teaching certification/license in [State/Country] for middle school or secondary education (required).
• Proven experience teaching middle school math, with a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and teaching methods.
• Familiarity with the curriculum standards for middle school math (e.g., Common Core, state-specific standards).
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage middle school students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for fostering a love of math and supporting students' academic growth.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with differentiated instruction and working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Proficiency in educational technology and tools used in math instruction.
• Experience preparing students for standardized tests or assessments in mathematics.
• Ability to create hands-on activities or real-world applications that make math relevant and fun.
• Knowledge of or experience with enrichment opportunities (e.g., math clubs, math competitions).
