RMBA is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable High School History Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and an ability to engage students in exploring historical events, critical thinking, and understanding the impact of the past on the present. This teacher will inspire students to appreciate history through diverse teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, projects, and multimedia, while fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover U.S. History, World History, and other relevant history subjects (e.g., Government, Economics).
• Implement a curriculum that is aligned with state and national standards, ensuring it meets the educational needs and interests of students.
• Encourage students to critically analyze historical events, understand diverse perspectives, and make connections to current events.
• Promote a variety of instructional strategies, including lectures, discussions, group projects, multimedia resources, and hands-on activities.
• Assess student progress through a variety of methods including quizzes, tests, essays, projects, and presentations.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, respectful debate, and intellectual curiosity.
• Provide individualized support and feedback to students to help them reach their academic potential.
• Maintain an organized classroom, including keeping track of student assignments, grades, and supplies.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to create interdisciplinary lessons and projects.
Participate in school-wide activities, events, and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student performance, behavior, and achievements.
• Stay updated with current events, historical research, and teaching strategies to enhance classroom instruction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Secondary Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. History, World History, and related subjects (e.g., Civics, Government).
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans and teach a diverse group of students.
• Proven experience teaching high school students, with a focus on critical thinking, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to create a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for history and an ability to convey its relevance to students.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience.
