Robert M. Beren Academy is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school committed to academic excellence, Jewish values, and nurturing the next generation of Jewish leaders. Our Early Childhood department is a play based program for children between the age of 15 months through 4 years old. Our program prides itself on instilling a love of Judaism, learning and exploration as our youngest students discover the wonders that their world has in store.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creating an atmosphere where students are comfortable to wonder, explore and discover new skills and information without the fear of failure;
• Nurturing the developmental, social and emotional needs of the particular class based on age and presentation;
• Developing meaningful and age appropriate lesson plans in conjunction with your fellow colleagues and Early Childhood Director;
• Developing a strong partnership with our parent body as we care for their young children;
• Prioritizing communication between the classroom and the parent body to share the learning goals/accomplishments, areas for student growth and all ongoings taking place each day;
• Supervising and supporting the Assistant Teacher so that they become an integral part of the educational, social and emotional infrastructure of the classroom.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience within early childhood education
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Creative, energetic, outgoing personality
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to upholding and promoting the values of Robert M. Beren Academy, with a deep understanding of Jewish culture, values and traditions.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
